Beauty Box 5. Happy first Birthday BB5
Okay Beauty-Pals here is the 411 on BB5 BB5 Subscription click link to go to website and check it out or subscribe.
Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that deals in beauty related items. You are to get 4-5 deluxe sized samples for 12.00 a month. Of coarse many times you will get a full sized product as well instead of a sample.
I recieved my Feb. Box yesterday. Here is what I recieved:
1. H2O Plus Bath Aquatics Shampoo. 1.25 fl oz. They claim "Your hair will feel liked you washed it in sparkling water when you use this extra gentle, non drying shampoo. It smells alot like the White Rain shampoo. I have yet to use it as I am still using another shampoo sample. This sells for $14.00 for 8 oz H20 Shampoo
2. Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub in Coconut and lime. 5.5 oz tub.
Claim: "Smooth, nourished, glowing skin is just a scrub away with this essential oil packed sugar based exfoliant". Smells heavenly of lime and coconut. It is very intoxicating and alluring. Yes I had to use this product. I applied all over my body and barely left a dent in the container and I have alot of body. A little goes ALONG way. So I know it will last. Very beach like going on. After you get wet and fall in the sand. But when I rinsed it off my skin was very silky and soft and smelled good. I really enjoyed this product and it's effects. I have very sensitive skin prone to allergic reactions and I did not break out or itch at all. It retails for $7.49 for an 18oz jar but you can get a 3 pack on amazon for under $20.00. TREASURE STATUS
3. The Brush Guard Variety pack.
There were 3 in the pack I got and I was so excited to get these as I was considering buying them a few weeks ago. They are little mesh tubes that you put on your Make up brush heads to keep the shape and protect your brushes from dirt. Works great for washing your brushes. After you wash them put one of these on it and it will dry your brush head faster and you can stand upright using the end of the guard as a stand so you do not get water into the ferrule. These retail for $5.50 for a 4 pack The Brush Guard
4. Coolway Boost serum, 1oz full size
8oz for 39.95
Claim: "Infuse your hair with moisture and lock in that straightened style before you get out of the shower" Here is my rant about these sample subscriptions. Yes they send a card to tell you what you got and the supposed retail price. However very frequently they don't tell you What it is for or how to use it. I mean seriously Coolway Boost Serum and that description. It could be anything. I looked it up and you put it on after you wash your hair and before you dry or style it. It is suppose to help retain your style longer and lock in the moisture so you don't burn your hair off. Now in looking for this product it is included with a set that includes a Coolway hair Straighter. You can check out the system and how to's. http://www.coolwayhair.com/ My only concern is I read in the FAQ's that the 1oz tube that seems pretty generous and should last a while, they say the whole tube should last 1-2 applications. Now that is ALOT of product in one use to get effects of the product. Not sure I will use this as I have many other style extending items from the FEB sample boxes and I don't heat style my hair much as I only have one good arm and can't reach around to the back. And half Hair of style is NOT better than Whole Head style in the 2000's. Use code BB5 on the link above to save 20% sitewide.
5. Extra Bonus... Folding Brush Compact.
Baby Blue compact that opens and has a nice sized mirror on one side and a brush on the other. Sure you can get this kinda stuff at the dollar store or what not but it was appreciated and timely. I threw it in my purse. Perfect for when you need a brush to tame your little monsters hair in public or before a school event. I can not count the times that I did my sons' hair and then by the time we get to the event they have already ran their hands thru their hair and messed it all up. Brandishing a Huge paddle brush is not only In discrete it looks like a threatening device. lol What 13yr old boy wants their mother running after them with a huge paddle brush. I still might do it for fun but the brush compact will come in handy at church. Thanks BB5
6 Extra Bonus 2.
$50.00 gift card to itrain.com No other purchase necessary. I can go to the site and download $50.00 worth of workouts. Totally cool if I could work out normally again because of my body I am not allowed to partake in workouts. I will be giving this away to one of my lucky readers along with other cool products. Stay tuned for details coming up in a few weeks.
I liked most of these products. I think I am just suffering from Hair Product Burn out. But once I do my hair more and look everything up for their directions and what they are used for I will be more psyched. I appreciate everything I got.
Try it out for a few months and see if it is right for you. I would not have known or been able to try these products if not for these services. That is why I get them. For products I may not be exposed to or be able to try otherwise. Also I am a mail addict. I like getting prezzies in the mail. Here again is a link to go to their site and try them out. 12.00 a month free shipping or 3 months for 30.00 Check out Beauty Box 5

Sample Box Wars- FEB Star Looks
I am typing in Pink to honor Star Looks Starbox for Feburary. http://www.starlooks.com
I recieved my first box yesterday. Star Looks Starbox is a subscription service that Every month, you'll receive a box filled with 3-4 FULL SIZED pieces of STARLOOKS BRAND MAKEUP (plus some fun, little extras). Each month will include a different mix of product types including colors, styles, and formulas. This box only costs 15.00 a month and considering some of the sample boxes out there this is a good value.
In my box I recieved:
Princess Diaries Eyeliner. This is a sumptuous creamy pink eyeliner. If you aren't in the market for lining your eyes with Princess Pink use it for a cream eye shadow. It is water proof and smudge proof. I can verify the smudge proof claim. I had done some swatches on my arm and tried to blend them and it wouldn't move. Nice if you want to do some crease action and above crease action for eye lid. This item retails for $15.00 on their website. Very sheer. Would be better if it was the color of the blush!
Lip Pencil in Tipsy- This lip pencil glides on easy and doesn't move easily. It is a orange-red color. This item is priced at $9.50 on the Star Looks Website
Barbie Fluid Blush HD- 1 oz of Barbie Pink goodness! Very vibrant and I couldn't pull it off as a blush. However It is beautiful as a eye shadow or lip tint. It took a while to blend out and my Sigma brush grabbed it off my cheek and kept it in the brush. I suggest blending with fingers for blush use. Perfect for pagents or theater looks. Retails on the website $15.00 Worth mentioning it is a little difficult to squeeze the product out of the tube the plus side to that is just a dot will do you.
Lastly Pink Oaisis Lip Gloss. In the container it seems to be light purple almost lavender with sparkles. On the lip it is a sheer pink/purple with sparkles. It is nice feeling and non tacky. Retails for $11.00
I really like this box and for only $15.00 to get four full sized makeup items is a great deal. It also costs $ 1.98 shipping for me.
I love the Star Looks Website. They have a store to order more colors or to replenish your favorite item. They have beautiful full color pictures of looks you can create with their products. They will match any foundation you currently have and send you samples of their foundation for you to try before you buy. They have a customer service phone number, email address and various contacts. Customer service is great. I won a box on Make up talk as I entered before I got super excited by watching youtube videos and subscribed.

OPI Sandpolish Can't Let Go NL M47
Hello Beauty-pals,
I received the OPI Sand polish in my January Glossybox. I love nail polish and this is my first OPI experience.
First off the packaging is very nice. I like their bottles and the logo seems to be engraved in the bottle. The lid is nice and easy to grasp. The brush is wide enough to finish your nail in three strokes and it spreads nicely.
The polish itself seems to be tons of tiny sequins. It is very sparkly and looks great when goes on wet. It dries to a matte finish but still sparkles differently than a glitter would. More chunky. I love the look. The texture is what might turn people off. It isn't smooth at all. Like the name implies it feels like sand. More technically like sandpaper. I like it though. I loved that even if I chipped a piece I could dab some on the spot and it would fill it in and you couldn't tell. It is long wearing. I wore it for a week.
Now what you want to know. How is it coming off. I used my equate nail polish remover and cotton pads and it came off quite easily. I did not need to foil. I did not need to scrub. i was pleasantly surprised.
I love this nail polish and hope to order online a few more colors. I do not have anywhere near me that sells OPI. Let me know what you think?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder
You've heard it a zillion times. "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" If you are like me when I was a teen, you roll your eyes and think there is no hope. I figured out the most important beholder is ME. Yes if I feel like and think I am beautiful than others will follow suit. It takes time and perhaps you need to start small. Pick a favorite feature of youself. For me it was my Right eye. Told you I started small. Perhaps you have nice fingers or air. Once you find something you find pretty about yourself look for other things. When it comes to taking care of yourself and imposing a beauty routine you may think Why bother. I felt that way for along time. To be honest it really does make you feel better about yourself which improves your outlook, your posture, and your behavior. In turn others treat you nicer and with respect. Yes it is sad that beauty counts, it is the way it is and instead of moping around and feeling sorry for myself I decided that yes I am important enough and good enough to deserve nice things, and makeup and the day I started doing my make up really well, I went to Walmart and the cashiers kept saying how nice I looked and asked if I changed my hair color. The last time I dyed my hair is 5 mths ago and my roots are showing.
Also makeup is fun. It is fun to collect and fun to play with. You will use it forever and it never goes out of style. There are new ways to do it and you can switch it up or keep it the same. There is something for everyone. So join me in my voyage to be better first for myself, my family and my community. I will blog reviews of products so you don't waste your money on crap. I will answer any questions you have about being disabled and any trouble you may have. It is very easy for people such as ourselves to get into ruts of depression and sadness because we feel alone and misunderstood and perhaps even inferior. There is hope for everyone and there is beauty in everyone. Let the inner beauty shine to the outside of you.
